The Parents’ Association ‘Our Lotto Fundraiser’, supports our School in many important ways, monies raised help pay for school tour buses, seasonal fun events for the children and provide funding for much needed IT and sports resources, to mention but a few.

We appreciate your continued support and contribution without which it would not be possible to organise such events and reduce costs for parents in relation to school tours and other fun events organised.

The lotto is – User friendly.
You can sign up once for automatic entry every month.
No need to remember to sign up every month as it’s automatically done for you.
Change your numbers or leave your numbers each month.
You may cancel at any time or change your numbers at any time.

The cost :

20 euro every month or 5 euro weekly for 3 lines
16 euro every month or 4 euro weekly for 2 lines
10 euro every month or 2.50 weekly for 1 line

Standardised Testing

We are coming up to the time of the year when many of our pupils will complete standardised assessments in English and Maths . Please find three links below with some helpful information in relation to these assessments.

100 languages

The child has

a hundred languages

but they steal ninety-nine.

The school and the culture

separate the head from the body.

They tell the child:

to think without hands

to do without head

to listen and not to speak

only at Easter and Christmas.

to discover the world already there

and of the hundred

that work and play

Parent’s Association 2022

Following the recent Parent’s Association AGM, the following officers were nominated and elected.

We really appreciate all the work they do here in our school. If anybody is interested in becoming involved with the PA, please do contact any of the committee members. They would be delighted to have as many parents as possible on the committee. Minutes of the AGM can be viewed on the Parent’s association tab on the website.

Student Council Election

I would like to invite nominees from 4th to 6th class children for election to this year’s Student Council.

In order to be elected you will need to write a letter of application, present it to your class and there will be a mini interview process for the shortlisted candidates.

In your letter of application to Ms.Mulhall please include:

  • Who you are and tell me a little bit about yourself, your interests, hobbies and achievements
  • Express why you fell you are the best candidate to represent your class on the student council
  • List at least three things that you would like to achieve for your class/ the school this year
  • For the children in 6th class, if you would like to be considered for head boy and head girl please state this in your letter and why you feel you are the best representative
  • I look forward to hearing from all of the nominees. The closing date for the letters is Friday 7th October 2022
